Patrick co-founded Capital with Richard and has had a long association with public sector clients having previously worked at a senior level for a number of Local Authorities and Housing Associations. He specialises in major housing refurbishment schemes, housing developments and public building management. Patrick acts as Account Director for a number of Public Sector clients.
Richard co-founded Capital with Patrick and previously worked for numerous multidisciplinary private practices throughout his career and has mainly worked in the project management field. At Capital, Richard heads up the Education, Higher Education and Commercial sectors and acts as Account Director for larger instructions and frameworks.
Gemma graduated from university with a BSc (Hons) and then furthered her studies, securing an EDI Level 2 NVQ in Business and Administration. Her diverse skill set includes client liaison, effective administration processes and producing seamless documents and reports. Gemma has over 10 years’ experience as an Office Administrator working in both the private and public sector. Since joining Capital she has worked closely with public sector clients in the organisation of surveys, report producing, client liaison and general support services to the Project Managers.
At weekends, Gemma can be found on the hockey pitch, playing for Winchmore Hill & Enfield Hockey Club in the Ladies 1st Team. She is also a proactive committee member; having held the position as Secretary for over 10 years. She also enjoys going to the gym, shopping and cheering on her favourite footy team, Tottenham Hotspur.
Steve successfully secured a BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering and since has broadened his knowledge by becoming a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institute of Structural Engineers. Continually extending his range of skills, Steve has vast experience within structural design and detailing, construction methods and site inspections and process mapping. Steve has worked in both private practice and public service, where he has been employed within the construction industry, for over 40 years. Steve has detailed knowledge and appreciation of Conservation Projects and what is necessary to achieve quality and a consistent approach to safety in construction.
At weekends, Steve can often be found cruising down the Great Ouse between St Neots and Huntingdon in his Viking 26’ wide beam boat, occasionally fishing and stopping off regularly to sample many of the fine ales on offer during the various beer festivals held throughout the year. Being an avid ‘Hammers’ fan he yearns a return to the glory days long associated with Moore, Hurst and Peters.
Ian graduated from university with a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering and has since become a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institute of Structural Engineers, recognised globally. With more than 29 year’s employment in the construction industry, from a trainee technician to Chartered Structural Engineer, Ian has gained experience in working on an extensive range of projects both in the design office and on site. As well as gaining experience Ian has established an extensive skill set, including structural design and detailing, construction and demolition methods, conservation and IT development and process management.
Ian was born and raised in Stratford, East London and after various moves within Hertfordshire has settled back in London, albeit on the south side of the Thames. However, he is still an avid fan of West Ham United and loves to see them play in the new London Stadium. Ian enjoys spending his quality ‘free’ time socialising with his family and friends.
Maddie secured a BSc (Hons) in building surveying and then furthered her studies with a master’s degree in Building Conservation. Maddie has over 6 years’ experience working in both private and public Building Surveying and Project Management roles. Since joining Capital she has worked widely with Education clients in the planning, specifying and management of a range of investment projects whilst developing skills in refurbishment, building conservation and contract administration.
Greg graduated from university with an MSc in Building Surveying and since has become an associate member of RICS and a chartered member of CIH. Greg has subsequently completed 10 years’ experience of working within the public sector. He has recently moved to the private sector in order to broaden his portfolio of experience within Education and Housing. Greg has extensive knowledge within the social housing sector, having worked in reactive and planned maintenance as a client side project manager.
In his spare time, Greg is heavily involved in property investment and management. He enjoys running, spending time with his 6 godchildren and following Spurs (which doesn’t always lift his mood). Greg actively supports Urban Synergy – a charitable organisation dedicated to the provision of role models and mentor services to young people in South London.
Edyta has a Master's Degree in Building Surveying. Since graduating her experience has consisted of working for public bodies and private practises on projects of varying sizes and complexities across their portfolio. Edyta is a member of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors and Associate Member of the Association of Project Safety. She is currently working towards achieving her RICS Charted status.
George has a wealth of experience within the public and private sectors, spanning over 35 years. He has both a BA (Hons) and BArch (Hons) in architecture as well as being a member of the RIBA. George’s main assists lie within architecture, architectural photography, production drawings and education. He has personally dealt with several projects of value up to £3 million each. Before joining Capital, George owned and ran a multi-disciplinary architectural practice in the UK (until 1994), and in Cyprus (until 2006).
Jerome has previously secured a BA in Architecture and since has been refining his skills in feasibility, planning applications, architectural design and construction detailing. Following this Jerome has spent 17 years in the construction industry, predominantly working for private practices in the luxury housing sector. He has also extensive experience in social housing and public sector work such as schools. Jerome has most recently fulfilled a position in a private London practice working on numerous large scale residential housing schemes.
Jerome currently holds 15 official World Records in the Sport of Competitive Grip Strength. He was the 2012 British Novice Arm-wrestling Champion and he was at one time ranked third in the country for professional arm-wrestling under 65kg. He has his own Strength Training and Arm-wrestling team called The Minotaurs. Jerome is happily married and met his wife whilst participating in the Kentwell Hall Tudor Enactments in Suffolk.
Dale has over 10 years’ experience working within both private and public multi-disciplinary architectural practices. Dale graduated from university with a BSc (Hons) in Architectural Technology and since has advanced his abilities in architectural design, contract administration and partnership management. Dale has extensive knowledge within the social housing sector, working closely with housing clients to plan and implement large scale investment programmes. He also works within the education sector managing refurbishment works to academy’s and schools.
Dale has successfully bridged the North/South divide by moving from the spa town of Scarborough. As a new father he is looking forward to the arrival of his second child later this year. Dale enjoys participating in a variety of sports. As a budding DJ he loves his music and plays the guitar when time permits.
David is a chartered Project Management Surveyor with extensive experience in the retail, commercial, industrial and residential sector.
David has involvement in all aspects of project management / construction management and aspects of quantity surveying including development of clients’ brief for mixed use development.
David’s role involves negotiating terms of acquisition contracts with the legal team, preparation of cost estimates, pre-contract / post contract administration, cost control, negotiating and agreeing final accounts and post contract completion.
Paul has 10 years’ surveying experience within the not for profit and private sectors, gaining experience of social housing and education.
Paul has extensive experience of working client-side with Housing Associations, working initially as a housing manager and later switching to technical roles in reactive and planned maintenance. He then progressed to project-based roles managing re-roofing, drainage renewal, window replacements and concrete repairs.
He has also managed a £25m Decent Homes programme acting as Lead Consultant to Haringey Homes and managing a small project-based team working within a partnering environment.
Leonardo has nearly 20 years working experience in English architectural practices, with 13 years post part 3 and several projects brought to completion. He has personally dealt with individual projects of value up to £35 million, from Inception to Completion. He has a vast knowledge of Residential Design, from Social housing to Student Accommodation. His knowledge in High End residential in Kensington and Chelsea was recognised at the International Property Awards in 2012. He has also been involved in Commercial Centres, Casinos and Listed Building projects.
In his spare time he likes to scuba dive in tropical warm seas.
Andrew is currently enrolled part time at Anglia Ruskin University. He is studying on the BSc Building Surveying course with the aim of qualifying as a graduate Building Surveyor. Ultimately Andrew wishes to become a Chartered Building Surveyor.
From the 3 years or so Andrew has been working at Capital Property and Construction Consultants, he has greatly developed his knowledge of AutoCAD and has a lot of involvement with various projects, all drawing related, from floor plans to existing and proposed elevation draw ups.
Andrew’s work largely involves AutoCAD draw-ups for several London Borough councils, in regards to Public and Social Housing projects and various street properties.
Andrew also shadows numerous surveyors whenever he can to gain as much experience as he can on a day by day basis all in his lead up and development to becoming a competent building surveyor.
