Patrick co-founded Capital with Richard and has had a long association with public sector clients having previously worked at a senior level for a number of Local Authorities and Housing Associations. He specialises in major housing refurbishment schemes, housing developments and public building management. Patrick acts as Account Director for a number of Public Sector clients.
Richard co-founded Capital with Patrick and previously worked for numerous multidisciplinary private practices throughout his career and has mainly worked in the project management field. At Capital, Richard heads up the Education, Higher Education and Commercial sectors and acts as Account Director for larger instructions and frameworks.
Peter has a wealth of experience within the Public & Private Sectors spanning over 25 years. He has personally delivered projects of value up to £42 million, through a range of procurement routes, including PFI. Peter has diverse experience, with involvement in Education, Housing, Major Urban Design Initiatives and Listed Building projects. Peter Qualified as an Architect in 1997 at Greenwich University. Peter joined Capital in 2012 and leads a multi-disciplinary team at Capital concentrating on Education and Housing projects.
A season ticket holder at Spurs and having experienced the highs and lows since the 1980’s, Peter hopes that the latest group will deliver that elusive league title!
Director of Building Surveying
Greg has a wealth of experience of working in the social housing sector as a senior manager and has been responsible for the strategic delivery of responsive maintenance, asset management, in-house repair delivery models, compliance, commercial maintenance services, facilities management, health and safety, customer service and resident involvement for a number of social housing providers. Greg is a Member of the RICS and a Fellow of the CIOB. Greg joined Capital in 2017 and heads up the Building Surveying team at Capital responsible for delivering Education and Housing projects.
Commercial Property Director
Gerard has worked in the transactional and agency real estate market in London since 1998, building up a considerable contact base and carrying out disposals and acquisitions for investors, developers and occupiers all over London and the South East.
He has worked for Chesterton, LSH and Altus Group in Central London always providing clients with commercially grounded advice.
Gemma graduated from university with a BSc (Hons) and then furthered her studies, securing an EDI Level 2 NVQ in Business and Administration. Her diverse skill set includes client liaison, effective administration processes and producing seamless documents and reports. Gemma has over 10 years’ experience as an Office Administrator working in both the private and public sector. Since joining Capital she has worked closely with public sector clients in the organisation of surveys, report producing, client liaison and general support services to the Project Managers.
At weekends, Gemma can be found on the hockey pitch, playing for Winchmore Hill & Enfield Hockey Club in the Ladies 1st Team. She is also a proactive committee member; having held the position as Secretary for over 10 years. She also enjoys going to the gym, shopping and cheering on her favourite footy team, Tottenham Hotspur.
John has spent over 30 years in the construction industry, with more than 20 years post-qualification experience predominantly within the Public Sector. John’s main skills are found within the architecture, design, project management and education sectors. In addition John has an extensive range of profound qualifications including BSc Architecture, Diploma Architecture and is an avid member of the RIBA. He has also spent time in Private Practice. John has more recently fulfilled a Senior Management role, leading a Local Authority in-house Architects Team and managing external consultants in the delivery of a construction programme in excess of £100m.
Luke began working with Capital as a graduate building surveyor in 2010. He became Chartered in 2012 and was promoted to Associate in 2015. Luke has been working with a selection of private and public sector clients. Luke has undertaken a number of refurbishment, extension and building alteration projects within London and the Home Counties, dealing with multi-disciplinary project teams.
Luke’s hobbies include fly fishing, motor racing, hiking and watching his beloved Lincoln City F.C
Steve successfully secured a BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering and since has broadened his knowledge by becoming a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institute of Structural Engineers. Continually extending his range of skills, Steve has vast experience within structural design and detailing, construction methods and site inspections and process mapping. Steve has worked in both private practice and public service, where he has been employed within the construction industry, for over 40 years. Steve has detailed knowledge and appreciation of Conservation Projects and what is necessary to achieve quality and a consistent approach to safety in construction.
At weekends, Steve can often be found cruising down the Great Ouse between St Neots and Huntingdon in his Viking 26’ wide beam boat, occasionally fishing and stopping off regularly to sample many of the fine ales on offer during the various beer festivals held throughout the year. Being an avid ‘Hammers’ fan he yearns a return to the glory days long associated with Moore, Hurst and Peters.
Ian graduated from university with a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering and has since become a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institute of Structural Engineers, recognised globally. With more than 29 year’s employment in the construction industry, from a trainee technician to Chartered Structural Engineer, Ian has gained experience in working on an extensive range of projects both in the design office and on site. As well as gaining experience Ian has established an extensive skill set, including structural design and detailing, construction and demolition methods, conservation and IT development and process management.
Ian was born and raised in Stratford, East London and after various moves within Hertfordshire has settled back in London, albeit on the south side of the Thames. However, he is still an avid fan of West Ham United and loves to see them play in the new London Stadium. Ian enjoys spending his quality ‘free’ time socialising with his family and friends.
Maddie secured a BSc (Hons) in building surveying and then furthered her studies with a master’s degree in Building Conservation. Maddie has over 6 years’ experience working in both private and public Building Surveying and Project Management roles. Since joining Capital she has worked widely with Education clients in the planning, specifying and management of a range of investment projects whilst developing skills in refurbishment, building conservation and contract administration.
Greg graduated from university with an MSc in Building Surveying and since has become an associate member of RICS and a chartered member of CIH. Greg has subsequently completed 10 years’ experience of working within the public sector. He has recently moved to the private sector in order to broaden his portfolio of experience within Education and Housing. Greg has extensive knowledge within the social housing sector, having worked in reactive and planned maintenance as a client side project manager.
In his spare time, Greg is heavily involved in property investment and management. He enjoys running, spending time with his 6 godchildren and following Spurs (which doesn’t always lift his mood). Greg actively supports Urban Synergy – a charitable organisation dedicated to the provision of role models and mentor services to young people in South London.
Edward has developed his experience within both the public and private sectors since graduating as Part 1 Architectural Assistant in 2011. After converting from Architecture to Surveying in 2013, he is currently undertaking the RICS Building Surveying APC Pathway towards becoming a Chartered Building Surveyor. Throughout this learning process Edward has successfully developed his skills in construction, building defects diagnosis, architectural design and sustainability which has aided Capital’s professional process.
Peter has over 9 years’ experience as a Building Surveyor working mostly within private practice. Peter graduated from university with a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying before going on to study for an MSc in the same. Peter has extensive experience of the housing, commercial and education sectors. In recent years, Peter has managed projects as diverse as the external refurbishment of a Grade II listed building in Central London through to the new build of a primary school in the Home Counties. Peter is a Certified Member of the Association of Project Safety, Member of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors, Member of the Pyramus & Thisbie Club and Incorporate of the Chartered Institute of Building.
Edyta has a Master's Degree in Building Surveying. Since graduating her experience has consisted of working for public bodies and private practises on projects of varying sizes and complexities across their portfolio. Edyta is a member of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors and Associate Member of the Association of Project Safety. She is currently working towards achieving her RICS Charted status.
George has a wealth of experience within the public and private sectors, spanning over 35 years. He has both a BA (Hons) and BArch (Hons) in architecture as well as being a member of the RIBA. George’s main assists lie within architecture, architectural photography, production drawings and education. He has personally dealt with several projects of value up to £3 million each. Before joining Capital, George owned and ran a multi-disciplinary architectural practice in the UK (until 1994), and in Cyprus (until 2006).
Jerome has previously secured a BA in Architecture and since has been refining his skills in feasibility, planning applications, architectural design and construction detailing. Following this Jerome has spent 17 years in the construction industry, predominantly working for private practices in the luxury housing sector. He has also extensive experience in social housing and public sector work such as schools. Jerome has most recently fulfilled a position in a private London practice working on numerous large scale residential housing schemes.
Jerome currently holds 15 official World Records in the Sport of Competitive Grip Strength. He was the 2012 British Novice Arm-wrestling Champion and he was at one time ranked third in the country for professional arm-wrestling under 65kg. He has his own Strength Training and Arm-wrestling team called The Minotaurs. Jerome is happily married and met his wife whilst participating in the Kentwell Hall Tudor Enactments in Suffolk.
Dale has over 10 years’ experience working within both private and public multi-disciplinary architectural practices. Dale graduated from university with a BSc (Hons) in Architectural Technology and since has advanced his abilities in architectural design, contract administration and partnership management. Dale has extensive knowledge within the social housing sector, working closely with housing clients to plan and implement large scale investment programmes. He also works within the education sector managing refurbishment works to academy’s and schools.
Dale has successfully bridged the North/South divide by moving from the spa town of Scarborough. As a new father he is looking forward to the arrival of his second child later this year. Dale enjoys participating in a variety of sports. As a budding DJ he loves his music and plays the guitar when time permits.
