FRA 2022 – Reactive Programme Works

  • Client: London Borough of Enfield
  • Services: Project Coordination, Contract Administration, Clerk of Works, Cost Consultancy & Principal Designer
London Borough of Enfield commissioned Capital to put forward a proposal to reduce the number of active Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) actions, to reduce the level of risk to the authority in the event of a major incident occurring.
Contract Value:
£200k
Dates:
March to September 2022
Contract:
JCT Measured Term Contract
The range of recorded actions had been developed by Enfield Council and were categorised into trade elements including compartmentation and carpentry works, by Capital PCC for procurement using the NHF Fire Safety Works schedule of rates. The works are administered under a measured term contract basis.

Capital undertook a desktop review of data and on site surveys to validate the quantity of  works items for all individual actions. This was required to accurately present a defined works package to each of the three Enfield Suppliers.

Capitals Post Contract role involved full administration of the works. This includes Pre-inspections, Post-inspections/validations, and all required Cost Control services. Regular meetings are also chaired by Capital where a set agenda is discussed to record each contractor’s performance in terms of Quality and Programme.
