Capital PCC supported Barnet Homes with cladding remediation and fire safety upgrades across multiple mid-rise estates, delivering responsive inspections, detailed reporting, and coordinated design to enhance safety, compliance, and resident wellbeing.
Capital PCC was appointed by Barnet Homes to support cladding remediation and fire safety upgrades across a series of mid-rise residential buildings at Coppies Grove, Stewards Holte Walk, Oakleigh Road South and Moss Hall Grove. The programme was initiated following a significant fire incident at one of Barnet’s properties, prompting a reassessment of similar building types.
The works are focused on identifying and resolving construction risks related to façade materials, insulation integrity and fire compartmentation. Capital PCC led weekly inspections and live site reporting to support timely defect escalation, ensure quality assurance, and provide clear oversight to the client throughout delivery.
The scope of this project includes upgrades to fire barriers and vapour control layers, new insulation and a mix of rainscreen cladding and EWI. The project also includes new flat roof coverings, new egress windows and new front doors as part of SHDF funded works that are taking place in tandem with fire safety remediation. Inconsistencies in legacy detailing have been addressed in real-time, supported by continuous coordination with contractors, the retrofit coordinator, fire engineers, and site teams.
