PAS 9980 update from our Building Investigation Team

Over the last few years Capital PCC have been actively engaged with carrying out external wall investigations to establish and report on the build-up of external wall systems, primarily for the provision of EWS1 forms and for the confirmation of grant claims for Landlords under the Building Safety Fund.
We are aware that the recent publishing of the PAS 9980 methodology for fire risk appraisal of external walls (FRAEW) is likely to generate further inquiries from Landlords as the scope for the requirement includes all multi-storey, multi-occupational residential buildings.
Due to the service offering we have been providing to others, we soon realised we could provide a more holistic and efficient service by forming our own in-house Building Works Team, working in conjunction with our Building Surveyors who are experienced in the measurement and investigation of a variety of external wall build-ups and systems, this can include for the laboratory analysis of materials discovered to confirm their combustibility.  Our team are fully aware of the health and safety implications of undertaking such work and are skilled in the reinstatement of any intrusive investigatory works.
We are able to provide professional reports into the investigation findings in order to assist your service provision, we attach some sample recent reports carried out on behalf of one of our clients.
