Capital was commissioned by Stonewater, a leading housing association, to deliver Structural Safety Case reports for four high-rise residential buildings, ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act by the April 2024 deadline. Appointed as the lead consultant through the LHC framework, Capital developed tailored solutions that balanced regulatory compliance with Stonewater’s resident-focused priorities.
The project required a comprehensive review of existing documentation, followed by a gap analysis to identify missing evidence. The buildings assessed included traditional load-bearing reinforced concrete structures as well as more contemporary Metsec steel-framed designs, demonstrating Capital’s adaptability to varied construction methods. Capital conducted site surveys and structural investigations to gather evidence on the buildings’ structure and fabric, processing large data volumes through its purpose-built database to deliver efficient and detailed reporting.
