Capital were commissioned to be Contract Administrator for the refurbishment of the existing cafeteria, at the Westminster University, 115 New Cavendish Street, London W1W 6UW.
The Client wanted to give a new refreshing look and identity to the students’ canteen/meeting area/ IT hotspot, called “The Hive”, located in the basement. At the same time, they wanted to resolve the acoustic problems and change the old finishes the area had. Capital created the new interior design with a new identity using a geometric design, the bees honeycomb, and used it for all the finishes, from the suspended acoustic ceiling tiles to the vinyl flooring and walls, glazing and signage graphics.
Special attention was given to the new LED lighting and the new ACU installation, to merge all the elements organically together
