The expansion of Grange Park comprised a permanent 8 classroom modular (Ecomodular) two storey building with a single storey traditionally built link, to provide a permanent 1FE expansion.
The building replaced some temporary modular buildings that had been utilised to commence the expansion. The building was designed with toilets, an evacuation lift and Group Rooms. The building was finished externally with brickwork to the ground floor and Trespa panels to the first floor. The roof of the building supported a 180m2 PV array and the external works incorporated a SuDS solution of surface cascade ponds to attenuate the surface water run-off.
The project achieved BREEAM Very Good. John left Enfield shortly after works commenced on site and Capital were commissioned by Enfield so that the project could be completed under John’s stewardship.
